Before booking a campground stay

Choose your dates and the type of site you need before comparing campgrounds. Check the details for the specific location and accommodation, then read the full cost and cancellation terms. A listing is not a guarantee that a suitable site is available.

Check the site against your equipment

For an RV, compare the site's stated length, hookup type and access information with your vehicle and equipment. For a tent or cabin stay, check the permitted occupancy, what is included and anything you need to bring. Ask the campground about unclear requirements before reserving.

Confirm rules that affect your trip, including pets, additional vehicles, guests and quiet hours. Check the location's current amenity information and seasonal opening dates instead of assuming every campground offers the same facilities.

Compare the whole reservation cost

Enter your dates, party size and selected site type. Review the total for the stay, including tax, deposits and additional charges. Distinguish what is payable now from what is due later.

If you consider a paid membership, read its current fee, renewal rules, exclusions and cancellation terms separately. Compare any applicable benefit with your actual travel plans. This guide promises no membership saving, nightly rate or availability.

Plan arrival and changes

Check arrival and departure times, late-arrival instructions and how to reach the location. Confirm the cancellation deadline, refund conditions and any charge for changing dates or leaving early. Save those terms with your reservation confirmation.

Review the route and campground's access instructions before travelling. Check current conditions and any official restrictions relevant to your trip. Resolve questions with the specific campground rather than relying only on a general brand page.

An optional campground resource

The optional KOA logo below opens Kampgrounds of America's site. Use its location listings and current reservation information to continue planning. We have not booked or inspected a campsite through this link. Using it does not earn an Everyday Perk Club member reward.
