Before ordering a major kitchen appliance

A refrigerator, dishwasher, range or wall oven needs to fit both the space and the way it will be installed. Put the model, measurements and complete order scope on one page before comparing sellers. You can read this checklist without registering or requesting a quote.

Write down the job and the exact model

Decide what you are replacing and which features matter in everyday use. Record the complete model number and finish for each option. Similar names or photographs can hide differences in dimensions, controls and included parts. For a package, list every appliance and compare the items you would choose separately.

Keep a short list of necessary features beside your budget. An additional appliance or upgrade is still an extra purchase, even when a package is promoted as a saving. Check whether accessories, panels, handles, trim or connection parts are included.

Measure the opening and the delivery route

Record the available width, height and depth, then compare them with the exact model's dimension drawing and installation instructions. Check the required clearance and the space needed for doors, drawers and handles. A stated cabinet width alone does not confirm that an appliance will fit.

Measure the route from the delivery entrance to the kitchen, including doorways, turns, stairs and any lift. Ask the seller how access restrictions are handled. Keep photographs and measurements ready for the installer, and confirm any built-in or cabinet changes before placing the order.

Agree on the installation scope

Have a qualified installer assess the existing electrical, gas, water, drain and ventilation arrangements that apply to the chosen model. Ask what connection parts and preparation are required. Use the manufacturer's instructions and the installer's written assessment for the actual work.

Find out whether delivery includes placement, connection, testing and removal of the old appliance, or whether those are separate services. Ask who performs each step and what must be ready beforehand. Record any work the seller or installer excludes so it can be priced before you order.

Compare the full delivered and installed cost

Combine the appliance price, tax, delivery, installation, necessary parts and any removal or access charges. Confirm the delivery service area and expected window for your address. Check how a changed delivery date, a backorder or an unsuccessful installation would be handled.

For financing, read the complete payment schedule and written terms before choosing it. For a promotion, check the exact eligible models and conditions at the time of purchase. Check the final checkout and written offer terms again before paying.

Read damage, cancellation, return and warranty rules

Check how soon visible damage or missing parts must be reported and what happens if an appliance arrives but cannot be installed. Read cancellation and return rules for the exact item, including any restocking, collection or return-delivery charges. Ask how installation or use affects return eligibility.

Keep the order confirmation, model details and written service scope. Read who provides the warranty, what it covers and how service is arranged. Resolve unclear measurements, service responsibilities or order terms with the seller before paying.
